Animal Reiki is administered very much the same as the Reiki provided to humans. Although there are differences with the delivery of a session for animals they still received the benefits humans do.
When we are feeling ill or in pain, we apply a remedy for the ailment or request assistance with something to help us feel better, liquids, soup, medications, Reiki…
When someone’s beloved pet is ailing, how do you ask them what it is that is hurting, or why aren’t they eating or running around happily. As humans, we try our best to understand our furry friends and family pet members but sometimes it can be a challenge.
Our animals are no different than we are. We are all comprised and exist of everything energy. When providing this healing system on animals and their owners, it is simply a placing of hands on different parts of the body and Reiki flows automatically to the areas of need.
Re-balancing an animal’s energy system is as important to them as it is to us and also strengthens the connection between animal and human. Sometimes, an animal will be mirroring emotional pain in the owner. For healthy animals, Reiki enhances relaxation and maintains health and well-being. It also aids sleep and contentment.
Here are a few of many items that assist animals when provided Reiki:
- It provides deep relaxation.
– It helps your animals sleep better.
– It helps any animal feel safer and more secure, a release of any anxiety.
– An animal can be calmed and balanced following a trauma or because of PTSD.
– It balances all their energy systems so your animals’ health will improve.
– It ensures that chronic illness does not settle in or is more easily released.
Animals absorb Reiki energy much easier than humans. They are much more in tune with the Universal energies that surround them, than humans. This means that a reiki session with an animal is often shorter than for a person. To help the animal feel safe and relaxed I can give the reiki treatment in the comfort of your home. An animal often moves away during a treatment so I remain accessible so they can come back for more when they are ready.
For Sick Animals, Reiki may be given for any illness or injury as a safe complement to traditional veterinary care. It can reduce anxiety, pain, depression, and also the side effects of necessary medicine. Reiki can also improve the effectiveness of other therapies. Reiki Healing addresses emotional and behavioural needs, physical illnesses and injuries.
For Dying Animals – Reiki is a powerful yet gentle way to provide comfort, pain relief and helps to ease the transition into spirit. As is the case for humans, Reiki healing sometimes leads to a curing of an animal’s illness, but it may also lead to a peaceful death. Reiki doesn’t change the natural order of events, but it enhances the experience by giving a dose of love.
In the event that it wouldn’t be accessible to provide a session in person, a distant healing can be preferable and is just as effective. Sometimes an animal may live too far away or there is an emergency situation. Combining hands-on treatments with distant treatments makes receiving reiki more economical for those on a budget or with a busy schedule. Distant Reiki can also be very effective for animals that are fearful or aggressive. Reiki works alongside Western medicine and is not recommended to replace doctors and treatments in any way. Please continue to consult your veterinarian.
